On 24 March 2022, the NATO Defense College (NDC) welcomed a visiting delegation from the Defence University of the Czech Republic. The delegation was composed of the Commandant of the University, BGEN Prof. RN Dr. Zuzana Krocová, and the Chief of the Military Robotics Department, Col. GS Doc. Ing. Jan Mazal.
The aim of this visit was to gain a deeper understanding on the University of Defence of the Czech Republic and to discuss potential future cooperation between the University and the NDC.
Upon arrival, BGEN Krocová signed the Guest Book and had an Office Call with the NDC’s Commandant, LGEN Rittimann. Afterwards, the visiting delegation delivered a briefing centered on the educational programs of the University of Defence and the NDC Commandant briefed the visitors on the mission and main activities of the NATO Defense College, followed by a Q&A session.
The University of Defence of the Czech Republic plays a key role at the university-level education and scientific research for the Czech military professionals. It provides educational programs in military, military management, economics, engineering and health care. It is responsible for the education of military professionals and other experts engaged in national security and defence, based on the requests of the Czech Republic’s Army, government administration and treaty commitments with other democratic countries.
