A farewell party, hosted by the NDC Commandant, Lt Gen Wolf-Dieter LOESER, was held to mark the retirement of MGen. Carlo Finizio (ITA-F). The Commandant spoke of General Finizio’s long and distinguished career in the armed forces, where he held a number of prestigious positions.
In November 2005 he started his work in the NATO Defense College as Research Advisor. From 2007 he also carried out the important duties of Senior Italian Officer for the NDC’s large Italian community.
The farewell ceremony was an opportunity to pay tribute to General Finizio’s important role as a link with the Italian authorities and academic institutions, and to thank him for his contribution to strengthening the excellent relationship between the NDC and the host nation.
